It wasn’t all that long ago that many folks furrowed brows at the thought of being in a bar on a Sunday. But the rise of brunch and an increasing focus on local establishments has helped whittle away at any sort of stigma.

Bulleit Frontier Whiskey is doubling down with its launch of a program called Local Bar Sundays, in which it foots the bill for a lot of first drinks when they’re ordered in a qualifying local spot. On a Sunday, of course.

Per a news release, the program will run on Bulleit’s “First Drink’s on Us” rebate fund, which is good through the end of 2021. The rules are that for a cocktail to qualify, it must include Bulleit whiskey and cost more than $10 will be reimbursed via Venmo for that first drink. Simply upload the drink receipt to LocalBarSundays.com after purchasing a qualifying Bulleit drink during the designated period (purchase by 12/15/2021 and complete rebate redemption by 12/31/2021). It’s one per customer.

The Local Bar Sundays mission was first introduced at this year’s Tribeca Festival and comes on the heels of the brand’s initial commitment of $250,000 to support the North American Hospitality Industry as part of the Bulleit Frontier Fund.
