Pappy is here, and you’ve got a chance to grab some, thanks to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana.

The charity will raffle five bottles of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon packaged as a “flight,” with 1,750 tickets to be available at $100 apiece. Tickets can be purchased online.

The flight includes one bottle each of:

• Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year (2020)
• Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year (2019)
• Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year (2020)
• Van Winkle Special Reserve 12 Year (2020)
• Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year (2020)

Each bottle was authenticated by bourbon expert Fred Minnick. The flight will be raffled at 11am, EST, April 29. Winner does not have to be present. 

“When Pappy comes up in auction, people go crazy for it,” Minnick said. “And while it’s hard to get and people get angry because they can’t find it, the whiskey is fantastic. The Pappy 15 Year won my American ‘Whiskey of the Year, 2020’ for a reason.”

Founded in 1984, Ronald McDonald House Charities a nonprofit that provides housing and support that allows families to stay together while they focus on the healing of their sick children at a critical time; many patients at Kosair Children’s Hospital are from out of town.
