MGP announced it will roll out its proprietary gin brand, Green Hat Gin, to all its distribution partners in the first half of 2021.

The gin is currently in four styles: Original Batch Gin (83 proof), Navy Strength Gin (114 proof), Citrus Floral Gin (90 proof) and Summer Cup Cordial (66 proof).

Washington, D.C.-based Green Hat is inspired by George Cassiday, a legendary bootlegger known as the “Man in the Green Hat.” Instantly recognizable in his green felt fedora, Cassiday kept Congress well-stocked during Prohibition from his private offices in the House and Senate during Prohibition.

The gins carry a MSRP of between $29.99 and $32.99 for a 750ml bottle. Green Hat is currently available in Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
