Doc Swinson’s to Release Two New Finished Whiskeys
Doc Swinson’s announced the release of a pair of finished whiskeys, a rye finished on rum casks and a bourbon finished in sherry and cognac casks.
The former, Doc’s Alter Ego Solera Method Rye, is blend of three-, four- and six-year ryes from two different mashbills. The blend was aged in hand-built Solera Pyraminds rum casks.
The Alter Ego Bourbon was finished in two different types of sherry butts (PX & Oloroso), cognac puncheons and then a long resting period in ex-cognac foeders to finish the marrying process. Some of the Sherry Butts were sourced from Montilla-Moriles, Spain, where casks date back to the 1920s.
Expect the whiskeys to be released in February.
