Bardstown, Kentucky-based Lux Row Distillers is introducing Lux Row Small Batch Albariño Cask Finish – a blend of 4-year-old wheated and ryed bourbons finished for an additional six months in casks that held Albariño wine, a dry white wine known for its citrus flavors, acidity and hint of salinity. 

Offered at 105 proof (52.5% ABV), Lux Row Small Batch Albariño Cask Finish will be available at Lux Row Distillers beginning in March at a minimum suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750mL bottle. 

Native to coastal Spain and Portugal, Albariño grapes create a refreshing white wine. The Albariño finish imparts a bouquet of nectarine, lime, and grapefruit on the nose, with lemon zest, honeydew, and a mouth-watering acidity on the palate. The result is a unique and memorable pour.

“We wanted to combine the fruity citrus flavors of Albariño wine with the corn-influenced sweet notes of our wheated and ryed bourbons,” Lux Row Master Distiller John Rempe said in a news release. “The outcome is a delicious combination of two opposing flavors that results in a truly unique expression.”

Lux Row Small Batch Albariño Cask Finish joins a growing family of award-winning Lux Row products. Offerings include Small Batch PX Sherry Cask Finish, which recently debuted nationwide; 12-Year Double Barrel; and Lux Row Four Grain Double Single Barrel, which earned a Platinum medal at the Ascot Awards, a Double Gold designation at the SIP Awards and a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
