NFL Football Headed to Dublin in 2025
Professional American football is officially coming to Dublin, and Jameson Irish Whiskey is ready to celebrate.
As the National Football League continues to expand globally, the city of Dublin, home of Jameson, has longed to be a destination to host a regular season game. So Jameson went to work and in 2023 launched Touchdown in Dublin, a call for fans to get loud and show why Dublin – a city that boasts the best spirits and fans – deserves to host the great game of American football.
Apparently, they weren’t loud enough.
In 2024, Jameson got even louder by enlisting football great Julian Edelman to march on a well-known football headquarters in New York City and make sure the powers that be heard us. The efforts paid off, as last week it was announced that Pittsburgh will host the first regular season American football game in the city of Dublin during the 2025 season. The Steelers’ opponent has not been announced.
“Jameson has been unofficially calling for this moment for two years, and it is a testament to the passion and support of football fans across the world,” Johan Radojewski, Vice President of Marketing, Jameson Irish Whiskey, said in a news release. “Now, the fun part. We can’t wait to celebrate with the fans that helped make this happen and are already working on how to go BIG for the game in Dublin.”
