Jack Daniel’s Introduces Heroes Selection Barrel Proof Rye
The Jack Daniel Distillery introduced Jack Daniel’s Heroes Selection Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Rye Whiskey – the latest selection in the limited edition series featuring whiskey chosen by heroes, for heroes.
Selected by U.S. Navy Veteran and Jack Daniel’s SVP General Manager Melvin Keebler, the 2024 Heroes Selection edition was hand-picked to celebrate veterans and active military, complete with an exclusive gift box and collectible medallions.
Jack Daniel’s Heroes Selection Barrel Proof Rye is offered at proof points between 125 and 140 with a complex aroma of rich caramel and toasted subtle fruit. Although every barrel is slightly different, rich flavors of toasted oak are balanced by complex barrel spices to provide depth and character.
Jack Daniel’s Rye Whiskey has a grain bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley and is charcoal mellowed before aging in new, handmade American white oak barrels.
“Community, camaraderie and the importance of mission are the core principles that I feel my military service shares with my work today at the Jack Daniel Distillery,” Keebler said in a news release. “It is my privilege to select this whiskey in honor of the men and women who continue to serve and protect our freedom.”
The Heroes Selection annual release is the latest effort from Jack Daniel’s to support military communities. Since 2011, Jack Daniel’s Operation Ride Home campaign in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA has raised nearly $3 million to cover costs for nearly 13,000 junior-enlisted service members and their family members to travel home for the holidays.
Jack Daniel’s Heroes Selection Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye is available in 750ml bottles for a suggested retail price of $69.99 in select military retail locations beginning this month.
