Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) announced the promotion of Patrick Cassidy to Regional President, East Region, effective March 24, 2025.

In this role, Cassidy will report to John Wittig, Chief Commercial Officer, and will be responsible for leading all business activities in the Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island and South Carolina markets. Marty Crane, Executive Vice President, Subregional General Manager, New York & Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of Massachusetts & Rhode Island, will report directly to Cassidy. 

“Patrick is a proven leader with a deep understanding of our business, customer and supplier partners, and the evolving marketplace,” Wittig said in a news release. “His ability to build high-performing teams and drive strategic growth initiatives makes him the ideal leader for our East Region. I look forward to seeing him continue to elevate our commercial execution and customer engagement.”

Cassidy has held key roles across sales, trade development, and general management during his 28 years at Southern Glazer’s. He began his career as an On- and Off-Premise Sales Consultant in 1996 and advanced through leadership positions, including Sales Manager and State Marketing Director for Signature Wine and Spirits, then Director of Trade Development, Vice President of Wine, and Vice President of Commercial Operations for Coastal Pacific Wine & Spirits. 

Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, General Manager of Florida, where he led strategic initiatives to strengthen supplier partnerships, optimize sales performance, and mentor future leaders.
