Buzzard’s Roost Announces New Core Bourbon Expression
Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey is adding a new bourbon to its lineup that expresses its proprietary double-oak style and is priced to appeal to all whiskey lovers.
After spending years maturing in new American white oak barrels, the new bourbon is finished in proprietary casks that were lightly charred and precision-toasted for optimum flavor extraction.
“Since the beginning, all of our whiskeys have been double oaked,” brand co-founder and CEO Judy Hollis Jones said in a news release. “Our new Signature Double Oak Bourbon was finished in our own bourbon casks, resulting in layers of flavor that make this bourbon one of our most delicious and approachable yet.”
“All of our proprietary casks are specially toasted to coax out the most desirable flavors,” co-founder and Master Blender Jason Brauner said. “Our toast profiles turn our barrels into our version of a spice rack, allowing us to create blended whiskeys that deliver complex flavors.”
Buzzard’s Roost Signature Double Oak Bourbon is bottled at 100 proof and has a price point of $45 SRP. The bourbon has a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley.
It will be available nationally and the first bottles will be released on April 17 at the brand’s Whiskey Row Distillery and Tasting Room.
