Buzzard’s Roost to Release Single Barrel Collab with KOBBE
Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey and Kentucky’s Original Black Bourbon Enthusiasts – aka KOBBE – will release an exclusive single-barrel bourbon selected by KOBBE and former University of Louisville basketball players and fans on Saturday, March 8.
The event will include a special bottle signing with former players Stephan Van Treese (2009-2014), Larry O’Bannon (2001-2005), Mike Marra (2009-2012) and Matt Simons (1993-1995).
A portion of the proceeds will go toward KOBBE (a 501c3) and their non-profit initiatives. The bottle release and signing will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Buzzard’s Roost Tasting Room and Distillery, 624 W. Main St at 6th St.
Buzzard’s Roost Co-founders Jason Brauner and Judy Hollis Jones, and KOBBE Founder Jamar Mack also will attend and be available to sign bottles.
The KOBBE single barrel contains a mash bill consisting of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley; it was bottled at 115 proof, and will be available only at the Buzzard’s Roost Tasting Room & Distillery for a price of $95 per bottle.
