Stateside Brands Joins Distilled Spirits Council
The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) announced today that Stateside Brands has joined the trade association as a director member.
“We are pleased to have one of Philly’s finest spirits, Stateside Vodka, join the Distilled Spirits Council,” DISCUS President and CEO Chris Swonger said in a news release.
Founded by Philadelphia natives and brothers Matt and Bryan Quigley, and Clement and Zach Pappas, Stateside Brands’ portfolio includes Stateside Vodka, canned Stateside Vodka Sodas and Surfside ready-to-drink cocktails. Surfside has grown from a popular home state cocktail to a ready-to-drink brand enjoyed nationwide.
“Over the course of two years, our Surfside brand has expanded distribution nationally,” Clement Pappas, Co-founder and CEO of Stateside Brands, said. “This growth brought into clear focus the complexities of navigating various state and federal laws. We are looking forward to working with the DISCUS team and its members to further grow the spirits sector.”
In addition to Stateside Brands, DISCUS Director Members include Bacardi U.S.A., Inc.; Brown-Forman Corporation; Campari America; Central Indiana Ethanol, LLC (CIE); Clase Azul Mexico; Constellation Brands, Inc.; Edrington USA; Hotaling & Co.; Mast-Jägermeister US, Inc.; MGP Ingredients, Inc.; MHW, Ltd.; Moet Hennessy USA; Ole Smoky Distillery LLC; Pernod Ricard, USA; Rémy Cointreau USA, Inc; Spirit of Gallo; Stoli Group; Suntory Global Spirits; and William Grant & Sons.
