The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) announced today that Stateside Brands has joined the trade association as a director member.

“We are pleased to have one of Philly’s finest spirits, Stateside Vodka, join the Distilled Spirits Council,” DISCUS President and CEO Chris Swonger said in a news release.

Founded by Philadelphia natives and brothers Matt and Bryan Quigley, and Clement and Zach Pappas, Stateside Brands’ portfolio includes Stateside Vodka, canned Stateside Vodka Sodas and Surfside ready-to-drink cocktails. Surfside has grown from a popular home state cocktail to a ready-to-drink brand enjoyed nationwide.

“Over the course of two years, our Surfside brand has expanded distribution nationally,” Clement Pappas, Co-founder and CEO of Stateside Brands, said. “This growth brought into clear focus the complexities of navigating various state and federal laws.
