Log Still Distillery Joins Presidential Ball with America’s 47
Log Still Distillery announced America’s 47, a special bourbon blend crafted at the invitation of organizers to commemorate the 47th Presidential Inaugural Ball, held Monday, January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
This exclusive bourbon was also served over the weekend at the Bluegrass Ball, an annual celebration in Washington, D.C., of Kentucky’s culture and leadership, where bourbon takes center stage as America’s native spirit.
“Bourbon is deeply tied to America’s history, and we were proud to represent Kentucky at this momentous event,” Wally Dant, Founder and President of Log Still Distillery, said in a news release. “Being invited to blend a bourbon for the Inaugural Ball is a testament to our state’s heritage and the role bourbon plays in bringing people together.”
America’s 47 draws its name from the historic 47th Inaugural Ball and the distillery’s DSP-KY-47 designation, showcasing Log Still’s roots in Kentucky’s and the country’s history. This limited-edition release captured the essence of what makes bourbon uniquely American.
Adding to the significance of this release, the label for America’s 47 was designed in collaboration with Belmark, a Wisconsin-based company celebrating its 47th year in business. Belmark’s commitment to quality and innovation reflects Log Still’s dedication to excellence, making this partnership a natural fit.
America’s 47 is a blend of two High Rye bourbons and one Wheated bourbon, added between 5 and 7 years, culminating in a rich and balanced expression at 47% ABV (94 PROOF) as a nod to the 47th President and our DSP-KY-47.
