Through Wednesday, Dec. 4, the independent bottler of American whiskey Lost Lantern is running a sale on nearly all of its whiskies through its website, which ships to around 25 states. 

The brand is also launching special “Mystery Packs,” bundles of two to three whiskies that encourage whiskey lovers to take a leap of faith and explore something new. These bundles come at a steep discount, but the actual whiskies in each Mystery Packs is a secret. Their descriptions give a general sense of theme and disclose how big the discount is and how many bottles you get, but that’s it – the specific whiskies are a surprise.

One of the great things about independent bottlers is that they encourage people to discover and fall in love with whiskies they might never try otherwise. And that’s exactly what Lost Lantern is trying to encourage with the Mystery Packs. 

With one exception, each Mystery Pack are available for just one day. The first three Mystery Packs launched on Black Friday, 11/29 at 12pm Eastern, and two more will follow each day until Winter Whiskey Wednesday, 12/4. What happens then? Wait and see.
