Green River Distilling Company will help make sure every child in the tri-state area gets a visit from Santa this year. National Brand Ambassador Caryn Wells will host two nights of bourbon education in support of WBKR Christmas Wish on Dec. 5 and Dec. 19 at the Green River distillery tasting room.

For beginners or those just curious as to how Kentucky’s native spirit is made, Wells will lead Bourbon 101: Grain to Glass on December 5. This course will lead guests through the entire process of making whiskey starting with the grains, all the way to the finished product. 

Participants will be able to smell, touch and taste their way through the entire process, ending with a comparison of identical recipes of whiskey using a different secondary grain. This class has been enjoyed by novices and aficionados alike with rave reviews. 

On December 19, the distillery will host “The GlenCaryn Experience.” Wells’s travelling roadshow has been presented from coast to coast. Green River has become one of the fastest growing whiskey brands in the country and as national brand ambassador, Wells travels the country presenting the core products to bourbon groups, retailers and enthusiasts. 

Guests will taste their way through the extraordinary history of Green River, with five different products paired with sensory food items to understand the complex aromas and flavors that are found in Green River whiskeys.

Reservations are required and tickets are on-sale now. Tickets for each event are $30, and 50 percent of all ticket sales will go directly to WBKR Christmas Wish’s mission of creating holiday magic for kids in the tri-state area.
