Baker's 13-Year bottle

James B. Beam Distilling Co. announced the re-release the much beloved Baker’s 13-Year – a limited-edition bottling of special 13-year-old single barrel liquid, bottled at 107 proof.

This extra-aged expression explores how time and location in the warehouse drive distinction from barrel to barrel. From still to rickhouse to bottle, a lot of things happen with the liquid like weather, length of aging, and rickhouse placement all shape the distinct notes and flavors of each barrel.

Named after Baker Beam, grandnephew of the legendary Jim Beam, Baker’s Bourbon honors the family’s long history of distilling. Baker was known to march to the beat of his own drum, often showing up for work at the Clermont distillery on his motorcycle, wearing a black leather jacket and his wide-brimmed hat. When this Baker retired, his cousin Booker Noe created Baker’s Bourbon in his honor, inspired by his passion for bourbon and maverick nature.

Much like the Baker’s 7-Year expression, each barrel sits in its own unique place throughout Beam rickhouses. And each bottle is filled from one barrel. Which means inside each bottle is full of subtle details that change barrel to barrel.

Baker’s Bourbon 13YO is available in limited quantities with a suggested retail price of $149.99 for a 750 mL bottle.

James Beam began selling barrels of whiskey in 1795. By 1935, his family’s business was formally established as the James B. Beam Distilling Company. In 2006, the company was renamed Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. It was split from Fortune Brands to become an independent publicly traded company, Beam Inc., in 2011. Three years later, it was purchased by Suntory Holdings. For more information, visit https://www.bakersbourbon.com/.
