Nelson County-based Log Still Distillery opened its new fine dining restaurant and tasting room experience, Monk’s Road Boiler House, on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville.

The restaurant features a luxury chophouse-style menu curated by Chef Ciro Matteo Pirozzi, and highlights Monk’s Road Bourbons & Gins and Rattle & Snap Tennessee Whiskeys. The two-level venue offers fine dining cuisine on the upper tier and a speakeasy-style bar on the lower for tastings and curated bourbon experiences.

The grand opening featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with a speech by Mayor Craig Greenberg, followed by a celebratory bourbon toast, cocktails, and appetizers.

To celebrate its new home in Downtown Louisville, Log Still Distillery invited dignitaries and representatives from various Downtown Louisville organizations to create a special single barrel pick. Participants in the pick included District 33 Rep. Gerald Neal, the Louisville Downtown Partnership, Kentucky Distillers’ Association, Frazier History Museum, Archdioses of Louisville and more.

This single barrel, a 120 Proof High Rye bourbon, will be available exclusively at Monk’s Road Boiler House.

The new restaurant is located in a space that for many years was occupied by Bearno’s Pizza and Anthony’s by the Bridge in the lower levels of the historic Trade Mart Building, which originally was home to Louisville & Nashville Railroad offices.
