Cask & Coast Releases Batch 003 California Bourbon
Cask & Coast Spirits Co. announced the release of Batch 003 of its premium small batch Cabernet cask-finished California bourbon.
Last month, Cask & Coast won a gold medal at the world-renowned San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the company’s fourth consecutive gold medal in a spirits competition. It has won gold in every competition it has entered.
“We are thrilled to announce the release of Batch 003, building on the tremendous success of our previous releases,” co-founder and CEO Mark Kersey said in a news release. “Richard and I created a bourbon that we wanted to drink with our friends and it’s so gratifying to see our passion project turn into a successful product now in its third release.”
Cask & Coast’s four-grain bourbon is distilled and matured in the Midwest in new American oak barrels then blended in San Diego before being finished in California Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc wine casks from local vineyards. Batch 003 was cask-finished in Cabernet casks for 15 months and is bottled at a hearty 100 proof.
