Bardstown Bourbon Co. Names Marino as President
Bardstown Bourbon Co. has hired Peter Marino as President. In his new role, Marino will work to scale business as the organization expands business both domestically and abroad for Bardstown Bourbon Co., Green River Distilling Co. and all affiliated brands.
Marino has been consulting for the company for the past 10 months and is now joining the company in a full-time capacity. He brings extensive credentials to Bardstown Bourbon Co. with more than 30 years of experience in beverage alcohol both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining Bardstown, Marino was the President of the Emerging Growth division for Molson Coors, where he led the company into non-alcohol beverages with the introduction of ZOA energy drink and the Coors Whiskey Company, while also overseeing their Latin American, craft beer and company-owned distribution businesses.
“I originally came to Bardstown as a customer to create the Coors Whiskey Co. brands a few years ago,” Marino said in a news release. “I was incredibly impressed at their quality, artisanship and commitment to customers.
“Now, in my new role, I am even more impressed with the company, the people and the brands. This is an incredible business with a great partner in Pritzker Private Capital. I am honored to work alongside this team to continue to shake up the American whiskey market and build upon our 2023 IWSC Global Whiskey Producer of the Year award.”
In addition to the president role, Bardstown Bourbon Co. has recently added Andrew “Max” Walker as Group Brand Director. Walker brings a wealth of international experience in beverage alcohol and consumer products, serving in leadership roles for companies such as Proctor & Gamble, Foster’s, Molson Coors, and Fifco.
As the company expands its national footprint, it has also recently added three newly created Vice President level roles within the sales organization. Julie Lannon has joined the company as Vice President, National Accounts. Jennifer Reda will serve as Vice President of Sales, West Division and Nicholas Lewis has been promoted to Vice President of Sales, East Division.
“These additions are further proof that we never stand still,” Mark Erwin, CEO, Bardstown Bourbon Company, said. “We are adding more capability and skill to an already strong team as we continue to expand our brands across the country and internationally with branded products and custom distillation services,”
