Four Gate Whiskey Announces 2024 Cask Program Details
Four Gate Whiskey Company has announced details of their 2024 Private Cask program.
For 2024, the company is releasing a series of barrels of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey ranging from 7.5 years-old to 8.5 years-old as well as a limited number of barrels of Indiana Straight Rye Whiskey at approximated 7.5 years old. The Bourbon carries a mash bill of 75% corn, 20% rye, and 5% malted barley. The rye is a 95% rye, 5% malted barley mash bill.
After selection, participants can choose one of two finishing methods. The first is to “double oak” the whiskey in a new charred cask from Kelvin Cooperage. The second option will be a used California Red Wine Barrel sourced from Kelvin Cooperage.
Four Gate proprietors Bob D’Antoni and Bill Straub will taste the whiskey in its secondary casks and determine when they are ready for bottling. Participants will purchase all the bottles from that barrel in finished 6 pack cases. SRP on the Private Select bottles is $224. Barrels typically yield 125-150 bottles. Bottles will be released in mid to late summer 2024.
Those interested in participating by purchasing a barrel can contact Four Gate Whiskey Company directly at [email protected].
