Woodinville Whiskey announced the forthcoming release of its Straight Bourbon Ginja Finished expression as its 2023 Harves Release.

The release will be kicked off Sept. 9 at 7 a.m. at the distillery’s tasting room.

After the base bourbon is fully mature, it is transferred into freshly emptied Ginjinha Barrels. Ginjinha (Ginja) is a Portuguese liquor made by infusing sour cherries called Ginja Berries. The bourbon is then bottled at 95 proof.

Per annual tradition, the first 500 bottles are hand numbered. The limit is one hand numbered bottle per person. There is no limit on non-hand numbered bottles— but supplies are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone. However, expect it to continue being available as a distillery-only exclusive for the holiday season.

Retail price is $69.95 per bottle after all taxes. Reservations are not required for this event and the first 500 signed bottles are on a first come, first served basis.

Also, that day, Woodinville will offer a Cask Strength version of the Harvest Release. The Cask Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Ginja Barrels is 107.92 proof. The price is $79.95 per bottle after all taxes. Quantities of the cask strength expression are extremely limited.
