Four Roses Flower Hour signed bottle

Four Roses and Nanz & Kraft Florists are raising a glass to healthier, happier hearts this Valentine’s Day by hosting a Valentine’s Day shopping and bourbon tasting event to benefit the American Heart Association. The Four Roses Flower Hour event will be held on Thursday, February 9 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Nanz & Kraft Florists, located in St. Matthews at 141 Breckenridge Lane.

Four Roses Flower Hour provides an opportunity to take care of Valentine’s Day shopping while sipping award-winning bourbon and enjoying complimentary hors d’oeuvres with Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott and brand ambassador and mixologist Abby Martinie. Four Roses and Nanz & Kraft have a long-standing partnership and 2023 marks 16 consecutive years that they have come together to show some love to local non-profit organizations for Valentine’s Day.

“We adjusted the partnership the past couple of years due to the pandemic so this year’s event will mark the first full in-person Flower Hour since 2020,” Elliott said in a news release. “We hope you join us at Nanz & Kraft on February 9 to help the American Heart Association raise awareness about heart health, and much needed funds for our community.”

Flower Hour also features live jazz entertainment from Swing Theory and a silent auction with an array of items, including Limited Edition Four Roses bottles, a Nanz & Kraft Valentine’s bouquet, tickets to 2023 Louisville Heart Ball and more, with proceeds benefitting the American Heart Association.

Nanz & Kraft has prepared an exclusive package including one dozen Heart Roses, a special rose variety known for a large petal count that creates the shape of a heart, along with a bottle of Four Roses Small Batch signed by Master Distiller Brent Elliott. The limited release package is available for purchase during the entire month of February in-store or at www.nanzandkraft.com and a portion of proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

“Heart disease and stroke are the number one and number five killers, respectively, of all Americans. Locally, these diseases claim more than 2,600 lives each year,” said Karrie Harper, senior development director of American Heart Association. “It means a great deal to us to partner with Four Roses and Nanz & Kraft to raise awareness about heart health, and much needed funds for our community during the Flower Hour event.”

A suggested cash donation of $20 will be collected at the door and attendees are encouraged to wear red in the spirit of Valentine’s Day and heart health awareness.
