Bourbon & Benevolence Back for Year 5
Kentucky’s Original Black Bourbon Enthusiasts (KOBBE), the local philanthropy-based bourbon organization, announced its 5th annual Bourbon & Benevolence Charity Auction & Bourbon Tasting. This year, the celebration will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 6-8:30 p.m., with extended hours beginning at 9p.m.
Bourbon & Benevolence, which takes place in Louisville, brings attendees face-to-face with some of the bourbon industry’s biggest brands and offers a signature bourbon auction. The auction will benefit APRON, Inc., the local 501(c)(3) that provides financial relief to food and beverage industry professionals.
“Last year’s event was our best to date and we still plan to make things better with more seating, more food options and so much more,” Jamar Mack, Founder and President of KOBBE, said in a news release.
The signature live auction, hosted by professional auctioneer Bill Menish, will be available online so bidders can participate no matter where they are. KOBBE will have an elite selection of auction items to bid on including allocated, vintage bottles, and one-of-a-kind distillery experiences. There will also be a rare opportunity for the general public to take home a few select KOBBE single barrel picks, including a few selected specifically for Bourbon & Benevolence.
In addition to the auction, the night will include the storied bourbon tasting where attendees will enjoy premium pours from some of the industry’s most prestigious brands. Other offerings of the night include additional spirits and coffee, an outdoor cigar lounge powered by Smokeasy Mobile Cigar Lounge, food truck fare and a custom KOBBE barrel-aged coffee, made in conjunction with Stave n Bean.
The main event will end at 8:30 and the extended hours will take place from 9–11p.m. This highly-anticipated element of the night features a more relaxed atmosphere with music and additional food and tasting stations that will rotate throughout the night. The attire is cocktail casual and comfortable.
