Brown Water Spirits LLC, the maker of O.H. Ingram River Aged, announced that it’s expanding into the Minnesota market.

The announcement continues the brand’s expansion into markets connected to the Mississippi River, as Ingram River Aged is the only whiskey that is aged inside a floating rickhouse on the Mississippi in Ballard County, Ky.

“We are headed upriver this time to the banks of Minnesota,” said Founder Hank Ingram. “Minnesota contains the source of the Mississippi River; it’s a state that has a deep relationship with the water. I’m excited that Ingram River Aged is now available here and thrilled that whiskey lovers throughout Minnesota are now able to experience what makes our whiskey unique. I’m confident the story of our whiskey will resonate with folks here.”

The first expression in the Ingram River Aged Series, Ingram River Aged Straight Whiskey, formally launched in October of 2020, followed by Ingram River Aged Straight Rye in December 2020 and Ingram River Aged Flagship Bourbon in August 2021. The fourth, Ingram River Aged Straight Bourbon Whiskey, was released in January of this year.

Inside the proprietary floating rickhouse moored in Ballard County, Kentucky, O.H. Ingram River Aged is matured in a way that no landlocked rickhouse can accomplish. The rise and fall of the Mississippi, along with intense temperature and humidity swings, provoke an increased interaction between barrel and spirit and a whiskey like no other, per a news release. The rickhouse is moored at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers where the rushing water ensures this whiskey never stops working.

Ingram River Aged is also available on shelves in Kentucky, Louisiana and Tennessee. It is also available for online purchase via Seelbach’s.
