Westland Releases Long-Developing Flagship Whiskey
Westland American Single Malt Whiskey announced the release of its new flagship product, a multiple-malt whiskey finished in multiple casks.
Aged a minimum of 40 months, the whiskey was developed over 10 years by the distillery, according to a news release. The final recipe includes a grain bill of Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Brown Malt, Bairds Heavily Peated Malt.
The distilled white dog was then finished in Cooper’s Reserve New American Oak, Cooper’s Reserve Used American Oak, First Fill Ex-Bourbon, First Fill Ex-Oloroso Hogsheads and Butts, and Second Fill Ex-Oloroso Hogsheads and Butts.
The final product was bottled at 46% ABV and carries an SRP of $59.99.
