Barton 1792 Adds New Barrel Warehouse; Two More Under Construction
Barton 1792 Distillery finished construction of Warehouse 22 and began filling it with barrels of aging whiskey in February – it’s the first new warehouse built at the Bardstown distillery since 1963.
The warehouse was erected as part of a $25 million addition at the facility, which is ongoing; warehouses 34 and 35 are under construction and are expected to be complete later this summer and fall. Once finished, the expansion will increase Barton’s barrel capacity by 25 percent, adding capacity for nearly 100,000 new barrels.
The distillery continues to be open to the public during the expansion.
