Louisville’s Levee at the River House had just as rough a 2020 as many small businesses, so it will re-emerge Jan. 29 as Levee Bourbon Lounge.

What once was a laid back place for happy hour specials and live music has been transformed into a bourbon-themed space with whiskey-centric decor, expanded seating and open spaces, upgraded cocktail list and — at least if photos tell the story — a highly robust bourbon list.

Unlike its previous incarnation, Levee will feature the full River House menu.

The modern speakeasy vibe also takes advantage of the large windows overlooking the River House. Outdoor dining is also available when weather permits.

Levee Bourbon Lounge will be open on Friday and Saturday nights for the time being.
