Brown-Forman to Partner with Pabst to Distribute Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails

Spirit and wine producer Brown-Forman Corporation announced a partnership with Pabst Brewing Company, one of America’s largest independent breweries, to supply and distribute Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails products within the U.S. and domestic military markets.

The partnership will enable a greater scale of distribution for the Brown-Forman-owned brand of adult beverages via access to Pabst’s supply chain, according to a news release.

The agreement will give Pabst exclusive rights to sales and distribution of Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails and any future Jack Daniel’s flavored malt beverage products. The agreement takes effect April 1, 2021; while the partnership was described as “long term” in the announcement, duration was not specified.

Country Cocktails were introduced in 1992 are a staple in the  Brown-Forman portfolio, available in eight flavors: Berry Punch,  Black Jack Cola, Cherry Limeade, Downhome Punch, Lynchburg Lemonade, Southern Citrus,  Southern Peach, and Watermelon Punch. 

John Hayes, Brown-Forman, SVP and President for the U.S. and Canada, said the move is to better take advantage of a “rapidly growing” ready-to-drink beverage category, according to the news release.
