The Balvenie to Release Batch 7 in Tun 1509 Whisky Series
The Balvenie, the U.K.-based spirits company, announced the release of a seventh bottling in the sought-after Tun 1509 series of single malt Scotch whisky.
The Balvenie distiller David Stewart, who has been distilling more than 50 years, blended 21 casks of whisky in The Tun, located in the company’s Warehouse 24. The whisky was blended for three months before bottling at the distillery.
Batch 7 is a blend of whiskys from Sherry Hogshead, former Bourbon American oak barrels and DoubleWood refill sherry butts, among others.
Soon to be available across the U.S., Batch 7 of The Balvenie Tun 1509 is non-chill filtered and bottled at 52.4% ABV. MSRP is $409.99 per bottle.
