Buffalo Trace Distillery released an announcement that will make Blanton’s fans happy: Blanton’s Straight From the Barrel, previously only available in international markets, will be available in the U.S. this fall.

This comes after an announcement earlier in the year that Blanton’s Gold Edition will be available as well. Like Gold, Straight from the Barrel will be available in limited quantities, with a single annual release, according to a news release.

As the name suggests, Blanton’s Straight From The Barrel is an uncut, unfiltered bourbon. The recipe is the same as Blanton’s Original and Blanton’s Gold, but the proof will vary from barrel to barrel (Blanton’s Small Batch is bottled at 93 proof, Gold Editions is bottled at 103).

And like the other two Blanton’s expressions, Blanton’s Straight From The Barrel showcases a horse and jockey atop its stopper in various poses to emulate the running of a horse race. The eight different horse and jockey stoppers feature a letter that collectors save to spell out the brand name “B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S.” 

MSRP for Blanton’s Straight From the Barrel will be $150 per 750mL bottle.
