Jim Beam announced the release of a bottled-in-bond Old Tub, the oldest brand in the Beam family. It’s $22.99 and will be available next week nationally, according to a press release.

The 100 proof is non-chill filtered. An age statement was not offered in the press release, but bottled-in-bond means it has to be at least four years old.

“We’re taking bourbon lovers back in time and making a delicious bourbon true to the way my ancestors intended over 140 years ago, when Old Tub was first crafted,” said Fred Noe, seventh generation master distiller, in a press release. “I’m excited to share this one-of-a-kind liquid with our fans and provide a bit of authenticity and nostalgia as we head towards another 225 years in the bourbon industry.”

The company is positioning the brand for cocktails, suggesting it be used in an Old Fashioned or Brown Derby (my favorite bourbon cocktail, BTW).
