Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey Smells Like Fermented Chocolate Milk And Tastes Like Sh*t
When Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey hit the market, I was inundated with people sending me screen shots and “ha, ha, look at this comments.” I mean, next to vodka, flavored whiskey ranks up there with things I can’t stand. But hey, that’s just me, and I don’t shame those who drink what they want. I just give my opinion.
These fascination texts were followed by people posting on social media and noting how they actually liked Skrewball. Honestly, good whiskey palates commented how they enjoyed it.
Well, imagine my surprise when a fellow cigar club member brought a bottle to last night’s gathering (we were outdoors and very socially distanced). I had heard enough good things about this that I would break my rule of not drinking flavored whiskey.
And of course, another member said, “taste it and stream it live.” So if you’re into seeing my reaction, here it is.
This stuff is absolutely disgusting. It smells like a bottle of chocolate milk left in the backseat of a car for a few weeks. Anybody with kids knows that damn stink. And it tasted like shit. Honest to God, I tasted shit that had just had sugar dumped on it.
I’ve been wondering why my palate had such an adverse reaction to it, when others seemingly loved it. And I’ve come to the conclusion that when sugar is used in an attempt to make a spirit better, I just don’t like it.
So, if you liked Skrewball, keep on enjoying it. But please don’t be offended when I ask you to pour it properly socially distanced.
