Once a mere pipedream, Kentucky liquor stores can now ship alcohol, thanks to the shipping bill Governor Bevin signed earlier this year. This will help Kentucky stores reach consumers they wouldn’t otherwise, and the state’s largest liquor store chain now has an app for that.

Liquor Barn-Party Mart just announced its “Liquor Barn” app and an e-commerce component on their website that will deliver beer, spirits, wine and accessories. Liquor Barn also announced an on-demand alcohol delivery in the Louisville and Lexington areas. 

The company said customers can also place app or on-line orders for pickup at all store locations. There is a $20 minimum order requirement and a $5 delivery fee, but the deliver fee is waived on orders over $75. The target delivery time is within one hour from the time the order is confirmed. The Liquor Barn app is free and available through iTunes and the Google Play Store (search “Liquor Barn”).
