George Dickel Distillery has lost another valuable production employee to Popcorn Sutton Distilling.

Allisa Henley joins John Lunn, Dickel’s former master distiller, as the Newport, Tennessee-based distillery’s master blender. Lunn left in 2015.

Popcorn Sutton announced the hiring in a press release today. Henley spoke on my Thirst Boston “Whiskey Women” panel in 2014 and  took over Lunn’s distilling duties without the title as “master distiller.”

Henley contributed to the launch of George Dickel’s Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey, Rye Whisky and Single Barrel products, and the distillery’s most recent 17 year-old limited edition Tennessee Whiskey.

Dickel has not made its replacement public.
