Campari’s Wild Turkey announced a new rye whiskey today.

Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel Rye Whiskey is a 104 proof product that comes from the center cut of the warehouses, or levels three through five.

Wild Turkey does not disclose its mashbills, but its ryes have a rye content in the 70 percentiles in comparison to most Kentucky ryes that are only 53 percent and the MGP rye whiskeys that are 95 percent rye. Master distiller Eddie Russell tells me the bottlings will always be at least 6-years-old.

The Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel is non-chill filtered.

The company said it will be available year-round as a permanent addition to the Russell’s Reserve portfolio, including Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Old Bourbon, Russell’s Reserve 6 Year Old Rye and Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon. It is available now nationwide at a suggested retail price of $59.99.
